It's been leaked that Defense Secretary Gates wrote a memo to Obama in January saying there is not a sufficient policy in place for stopping Iran from getting a nuclear weapon. First of all why is there no firestorm against such a sensitive leak? Well my guess is that the administration leaked the fact of the memo. Question is why. My guess is that as time goes by Obama is learning that "engaging" Iran is likely not going to work. Is it possible to curb Iran's ambitions without military action? Maybe. Lets hope so. CNN
Is what really going on a preparation for a possibility of preemptively attacking Iran? No previous plans for attacking Iran? Bullshit. Are you telling me that Bush never ordered plans to attack Iran and to have the plans continually updated? Of course he did. So why now the big deal about having plans? To ease us into the possibility?
It could also be to scare the crap out of Iran and get them to the table. How many think that would be successful?
