Of all places, Texas is dispensing the vaccine better.

I first got wind of this last week from my cardiologist. One of the best in the country. I’m fortunate to have him.  Anyway, I finally went to seem him because I’ve been holding back taking up appointments for those far more at risk since the virus. Plus I’m not having issues but it is time for one of the tests I take.  Of course COVID and the vaccine came up.  He was vaccinated almost two months ago. Like I said, one of the biggies in the cardio world. He said he was on a national conference call that morning and said they were adjusting the distribution method for the vaccines to give more doses to States that were getting it dispensed efficiently.  He said at that time, CA had 1.4 million doses on the shelves.  He also said Texas was doing well and then he chuckled like, ‘go figure’.  I cringed when he said it.  Not because Texas was doing good, happy for the folks there to get it, but because CA has totally screwed up.  Now I read Texas is the first to dispense 1 million vaccines.  Come on man!  Glad to hear Biden going to get the feds involved because a lot of the states are doing a horrible job.  It’s not like they didn’t know the vaccine was coming.  NOW CA is taking action it should’ve had planned out long ago.  I don’t get it.  The incompetence runs from the President to the Governors down to the County Health Departments.  Unbelievable to me. Bound to be kinks in anything humans touch, but WOW!

Update: California has administered nearly 1.2 million vaccines, or about 40% of the 3 million doses received, Gov. Gavin Newsom said Friday. That’s a significant increase since Monday, when the state had administered about 783,000 doses, less than one-third of the 2.5 million doses on hand.

Yay?
